Philosophy of Teaching
“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela. My philosophy as a teacher is straightforward. It consists of three simple things; respect, education and knowledge.
Respect is one of the essential things for any person to have. It starts with the teacher himself. It is achieved by showing respect to others without considering their age, social status, religion and race. Every teacher should consider that students come from different families and different backgrounds. It should be expected that they will not respond the same to your interactions. However, the time and teacher’s good behavior and forgiveness will make them realize what was intended.
Education is not only to teach students what they are supposed to be learning but to teach them to find their way and become independent . To teach them so that if the teacher disappeared. They will not get confused. It is also to teach them to recognize and use the tools around them to get to where they want to be. To break the boundaries they have put in place, which kept them from doing great things and kept them from innovating, inventing and realizing their unlimited potential.
Knowledge is what makes the aforementioned possible. A teacher can help students get knowledge by showing them the importance of the knowledge by being a model and helping them get resources. Explain the little things that stop them from going forward by using every tool. To introduce them to the best knowledge and the most updated one.
