Biography

My name is Abdalla Balu. I was born in 1990.
I studied English Language and Literature at college of Education/ University of Raparin, graduated in 2013 and I was the second top graduate. Then, I was employed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and started my career as an Assistant Researcher at the Language and Development Center of Raparin University the same year. In 2017, I started studying Masters in English literature at College of Languages/ University of Salahaddin, and accomplished it in 2019. The following year, I promoted to Assistant Lecturer and I have been teaching English language and literature since then. I have instructed both general English and English literature so far.
My hope is to become an enthusiastic instructor who possesses current needed skills of teaching, methodology, IT, and ability, and who is able to encourage student-centered learning, promote learner autonomy, establish friendly and academic relationships with students and identify good learning outcomes. That is what I am eager to be now and I work hard for it.
Currently, I am the academic director and instructor at the Language and Development Center, and lecturer at English Department of both College of Education and Basic Education.
