Philosophy of Teaching
As an English literature specialist, my journey in education is a blend of passion and purpose. With a focus on subjects like drama, poetry, literary criticism, and an introduction to literature, I have the privilege of imparting academic knowledge and nurturing my students' moral compass and human values. I firmly believe that education transcends the boundaries of the classroom. Literature is a powerful medium to engage minds, spark critical thinking, and inspire the development of ethical individuals. Literature is a mirror reflecting the complexities of the human experience and a window that offers insights into diverse cultures, perspectives, and moral dilemmas. I view my students as lifelong learners, encouraging them to appreciate literature as an academic subject and a lifelong source of enlightenment and enrichment. Through exploring drama, poetry, and literary criticism, I aim to develop student's analytical and critical thinking skills, empowering them to question, evaluate, and synthesize ideas. I endeavor to create a classroom environment where discussions on literature prompt reflection on personal values, ethical considerations, and societal responsibilities. To achieve these goals, I employ strategies like engaging in thoughtful and open-ended discussions to encourage deeper exploration of literary themes and moral dilemmas and encouraging students to express their interpretations and insights through creative projects, allowing them to connect emotionally with the material. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment by valuing each student's unique perspective and background and encouraging them to share their thoughts openly, demonstrating respect for diverse opinions and creating a safe space for open dialogue, promoting understanding and empathy, and leading by example, I strive to embody the moral values I aim to instill in my students.Certificates
