Biography

Welcome to my academic profile page. My name is Dara Muhammad Hawez. I am a lecturer teaching in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Raparin, Kurdistan Region, Iraq.
I have a B.Sc. degree in Irrigation Engineering and a M.Sc. degree in Environmental Engineering. Since 2009, I've been a member of the Kurdistan Engineering Union (KEU). I have been a lecturer and department coordinator in the Civil Engineering Department at Koya University between 2015 and 2022.Currently, I am delighted to continue my academic journey as a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Raparin.
My research interests include hydrodynamics, sediment, hydrology, and water quality.

Philosophy of Teaching

The foundation for the growth and development of future civil engineers is laid by teaching, a noble endeavor. As a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department who focuses on teaching water and hydraulic courses, I am dedicated to a teaching philosophy that goes beyond the simple transfer of knowledge. My method aims to encourage students to think critically, come up with new ideas, and gain a thorough understanding of the important concepts in hydraulics and water resources.
