Biography

I am an assistant lecturer in the department of English/college of basic education at University of Raparin. I have been working in the college of languages since 2015 in different positions, namely IT manager, lecturer for Computer skills, lecturer for Academic Skills, and lecturer for Translation and Interpretation.

My research interests include postcolonial literature, comparative literature, the power of language, and Marxist Criticism.

Philosophy of Teaching

In my philosophy of teaching, I prioritize creating an environment where students feel empowered and valued as active participants in their own learning journey. Embracing a student-centered approach, I trust in my students' abilities to engage deeply with course material and take ownership of their learning process. As an educator, I see myself more as a guide, providing support, encouragement, and direction while allowing students the freedom to explore and discover knowledge independently. I believe in incorporating a diverse range of activities and leveraging technological tools to enhance learning experiences, catering to different learning styles and fostering critical thinking and creativity. By embracing flexibility and innovation in teaching methods, I aim to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where every student can endeavor and reach their full potential.
