Philosophy of Teaching
Having obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature and a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics for TESOL in York St John University in the UK , I have developed a strong foundation in both subject matter expertise and pedagogical strategies. My academic background, coupled with several years of teaching experience, has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and assessment techniques. I am adept at designing lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed. With an abundance of internal and overseas English language teaching and translation experience and as a passionate and dedicated educator, I am committed to fostering a love for English language teaching and learning and convey the knowledge and expertise I have obtained internationally to our beloved students in Kurdistan.
One of my primary objectives as an English teacher is to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. I believe in the power of empathy and strive to create a space where students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to share their unique perspectives. By promoting cultural sensitivity and empathy, I aim to implant in my students a broader understanding of the world and the ability to communicate effectively across different contexts.
Finally, my unwavering dedication to inspiring a lifelong love for English and fostering a stimulating learning environment makes me an ideal English Language Teacher. I am confident that my passion, expertise, and commitment will positively impact the educational journey of our students at the University of Raparin.
