Mission
The mission of the Scientific Research Center at University of Raparin is to advance world-class research, enable innovation across the entire university. This is done through facilitating and enhancing partnerships and collaborations between researchers, providing infrastructure and training that promotes creativity and entrepreneurship, ensuring ethical compliance and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Vision
The center envisions a supportive environment for all University of Raparin scholars that enables transformative discoveries and innovation to benefit Raparin Area, Kurdistan Region, and the world. We also envisage to be recognized as a creative and innovative Research Centre in the Region and the world.

Responsibility
The Scientific Research Center is responsible for promoting, advancing and improving the status of scientific research at the University of Raparin. This can be done by fostering a research culture. The center is also responsible for providing training to the researchers of the university.

The aims of the center are:
1. To support and carry out basic scientific research that will advance society’s general knowledge of our world.
2. To use applied science to answer questions and issues facing our communities.
3. To provide specific responses based on sound scientific principles to government and private sector initiatives.
4. To publish quality scientific articles, assist in their publication to increase the number of publications in high-impact scientific journals.
5. To organize scientific seminars and conferences at the university or elsewhere.
6. To maintain on-going relationships with other scientific centers in Kurdistan and beyond that will support collaboration on scientific research.
7. To provide an effective financial management service oriented by the principals of accountability, legality and integrity.
8. To promote collaboration between researchers to carry out group research in all areas of activity

The Directorate General of Research Center consists of these departments:
1. Office of educational and humanities research.
2. Office of biological research.
3. Office of statistics and data analysis.
4. Office of administration and accounting.
