On Aug 10th 2016, during a formal visit to Sanandaj Governorate in the East of Kurdistan, the University of Raparin delegation signed two memorandums of understanding with University of Kurdistan and Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences.
The delegation was headed by the University of Raparin’s president Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali,Abdullah accompanied by vice president for student affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Herish Rasul, Dean of Faculty of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sardar Fathullah , Director of International Relations Office and Media Mr. Araz Ramazan, and Mr. Hamid Sulaiman Baigi member of staff International Relations staff.
According to the content of the MoU, both universities reached an agreement to cooperate in several scientific aspects, such as undergraduate and postgraduate student exchanges, conducting dual research and research development, academic staff exchange, organizing joint-projects and scientific activities.
On the same day, University of Kurdistan's staff hosted the delegation of UoR to participate in their university council meeting, in which Dr.fardin Akhlaghian the president of the Hosting University stated the importance of the Collaboration among the universities in Kurdistan. Then, the UoR president expressed the significance of such relations and academic understanding. Later on the directors of relations office of the universities presented a summary of structure and activities of their universities. In the same meeting Dr.Abdullah Salimi vice president for research affairs, Dr. Osman Azizi, vice-president for students Affairs and deans of the faculties, Dr. Abdullah Hassan zada director of international relation of University of Kurdistan shed light on the mission and activities of their university, the presidents of universities exchanged the logos of the universities.
The day on the delegation signed another MoU with the University of Medical Sciences in Sina Governorate, both universities showed their interest in scientific collaboration especially between UoR’s Nursing school and faculty of nursing and obstetrics at university of Medical Science including undergraduate and postgraduate student exchanges, conducting dual research and research development, academic staff exchange, organizing joint-projects and scientific activities.
Dr. Taieb Qadimi the president of the Hosting University stated the importance of the Collaboration among the universities in Kurdistan. Then, the UoR president expressed the significance of such relations and academic understanding, Dr. Muhammed J’fari Razaiy vice president for scientific affairs of Kurdistan Medical Universities and Dr. Muhammed Fathi, dean of faculty of Nursing and obstetrics focused on the mission and activities of their university.
Finally the delegation paid a visit to some of the halls and departments of the mentioned faculties.
