According to the latest announcement of the ranking web of universities released by webometrics organization, University of Raparin obtained the ranking of 5th among the Kurdistan regional universities. The UoR has been participating in the ranking web of universities for three years. For this academic year the UoR is graded fifth in the Ranking.

Webometrics is a global organization that annually performs the ranking of world universities at the local and international level. The recent raking has been performed in January, 2017.

The KRG Universities ranking is as following:

2- University of Duhok ( 6134 )
3- Soran University ( 6335 )
4- University of Sulaimani ( 7080 )
5- University of Raparin ( 11030 )
