The title is Introduction to Sorani Kurdish, The Principal Kurdish Dialect spoken in the regions of Northern Iraq and Western Iran. The author is Dr. Livingston Merchant, formerly on the faculty at the university.

We congratulate him and his team of collaborators: Ms. Paiman Ramazan, advisory editor, Ms. Zina Chaqmaqci of Soran University, and Mr. Karwan Qadir, who provided many of the translations from English to Kurdish. We hope that in the future the university will encourage and publish other research projects.
