President of University of Raparin Assist. Prof. Dr. Paiman Ramazan, accompanied by the head of the History Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Harem Hassan, on Wednesday visited the archeological team of Maximilian University of Munich who are doing excavation in collaboration with the Directorate of Antiquities in Sulaymaniyah and the Raparin Archaeological Directorate on the archeological site of Qalat-I Dinka (Dinka citadel) in Pshdar region.

Qalat-I Dinka (Dinka citadel) is located in Nuradin village in Pshdar district. The history of Qalat-I Dinka dates back to the first millennium BC in which humans lived and built civilization. Currently, a team of the German University of Munich, in collaboration with the History Department at Raparin University, and both the Directorate of Antiquities in Sulaymaniyah and Raparin are conducting scientific research and archaeological excavation.
