On Wednesday (12-10-2022), Subhash Kain, the consul general of India in the Kurdistan Region, and Devinda Kumar, deputy consul general, visited the University of Raparin and were received by Assist. Prof. Dr. Paiman Ramazan Ahmad, president of the University of Raparin and a number of administrative staff of the university.

The Consul General of India said the purpose of his visit was to discuss the opportunities for education and training provided by the Indian government to foreign students and teachers. He also expressed his willingness to help University of Raparin benefit from Indian government projects in the field of education.
During a visit to the College of Science and the University's Central Library, they said they would provide a range of scientific resources to the university’s library.
