In the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakar Mohammed, UOR's College of Basic Education dean, the department of Arabic held an academic symposium entitled 'Methods of Literature Criticism and Their Impact on Culture'.

At the very beginning, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim A. Mohammed delivered the opening speech. Then Dr. 'Ala S. Daham gave the Arabic department presidency's speech.
A panel chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim A. Mohammed included the following seminars:
1- 'Methods of Literature Criticism and Their Impact on Children's Literature' by Asst. Prof. Dr. Star M. Faqe
2- 'Problems of Methods of Literature' by Asst. Prof. Dr. Masoud S. Hamadamin
3- 'Cultrual References of Poetry in the Abasid Era' by Asst. Lec. Jihad Q. Ali At the end of the symposium the audience were given a question-and-answer session and in that way, the symposium came to an end. Translated by Rasul H. Rasul
