The 32nd anniversary of Raniya’s (March 5th, 1991) Uprising, was commemorated on 5 March 2023, at the UOR during which several foreign countries’ Consulates, university delegations and other official representatives, as well as tens of thousands of people attended the event as a cultural-scientific festival.

All the UOR colleges and departments along with other institutes, companies and organizations took part in the event. The festival is annually held at the UOR to commemorate Raniya’s great uprising that led to the freedom of all the Kurdish areas and consequently, established the Kurdish people’s autonomy.
