On March 7, 2023, In the presence of UoR's vice-president for Higher Education and Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hazhar Q. Ibrahim, and the Dean of College of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hawraz Q. Hama, department of Education and Psychology held a symposium on ' The Role and the Effects of Psychology on the Families, the Society and Raising the Level of Awareness'.

The symposium is scheduled to last for two days. In the first day, two panels were organized. Both panels were chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pola A. Mahmood during which the following three seminars were presented.

1- 'The Duty and The Role of Psychology on Family Awareness' by Prof. Dr. Nassir Yousify
2- The Duty and The Role of Psychology on the Society Awareness' by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed T. Hussein
3- 'The Role of Education in Social and Cultural Development of the Society' by Dr. Bakhtiyar H. Mohammed Amin
At the end, the audience participated in a question and answer session. In that way, the first day of the symposium successfully finished its works.
