In the presence of both of the UoR’s Director of the Research Center, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jamal Ali, and the Dean of College of Basic Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakar Mohammed as well as a number of UoR lecturers and students, the fourth academic debate conference was held at the UoR, which was sponsored by Sana Private School and Kindergarten.

At the beginning of the conference, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jamal Ali delivered the UoR presidency’s speech and pointed out the significance of such academic activities to enhance the students’ overall language ability. After that, the Head of College of Education’s department of English, Asst. Prof. Lect. Nawzad H. Qadir gave his speech. Following that, Dr. Rzgar M. Amin presented his speech, as the Head of College of Basic Education’s department of English.
There were the following four debates presented in the conference, which were all chaired by Mr. Kamaran M. Wasman. These debates were held between a number of English department students of both colleges of Education and Basic Education. 1- ‘Should the Death Penalty be Abolished’ between (Shanel A. Hussein & Alan M. Hassan) vs. (Hozan M. Ibrahim & Mahan A. Hama)
2- ‘Technology Rising Unemployment Rate’ between (Elaf A. Amin & Zhiyar S. Ghareeb) vs. (Roza Kh. Hussein & Akam Y. Mustafa)
3- ‘Digital-Currency should Replace Cash’ between (Zhikal H. Darwesh & Vinos Kh. Kak Mala) vs. (Ahmed R. Rasul & Sarhang M. Ali)
4- ‘Children should be allowed to use Mobile phones in the schools’ between (Shadia M. Ahmed & Maria Kh. Ismail) vs. (Rayan B. Abdulrahman & Roza I. Faizulla) At the end, despite a question-and-answer session, the conference organizers and participants were awarded the UoR presidency’s certificate of participation.
