On the occasion of the 1991 anniversary, in the presence of UoR's lectures, researchers and students, the department of History held a symposium under the title of 'The 1991 Uprising in Different Views' on 12 Mar 2023.
At the beginning, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aras A. Mustafa delivered the college of Humanities deanery speech during which he mentioned the importance of such activities about the 1991 Uprising. Later on, Asst. Prof. Harem H. Ahmed gave the History department's presidency speech.
During the event, there were two panels. The first panel was chaired by Prof. Dr. Imad A. Mohammed and the second one was chaired by Mohammed Amin A. Abdulla. The following seminars were presented in both panels.
1- 'A Comparison Between The 1991 Shia and South Kurdistan's Uprisings' by Asst. Prof. Harem H. Ahmed
2- 'The Population Growth and the Morphological Change of Ranya After the 1991 Uprising) by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bestun H. Ahmed
3- 'British Media Broadcasting of South Kurdistan's 1991 Uprising' by Asst. Prof. Rebwar Kh. Mustafa
4- 'The Uprising and The Revolution Dialectic) by Lect. Aram Q. Sabir
5- 'The Kurdish Uprising and the Kurds World New Position' by Asst. Lect. Aram A. Wisu
6- 'The 1991 Uprising of Warte and Balakayati' by Azad A. Mawloud
At the end, there was a question-and-answer session, and the participants were awarded participation certificates.
