University of Raparin opens Master’s program in the fields of Nursing, History and Geography On July 23rd, 2014,

University of Raparin declared to open Master’s program at the host university in the fields of Nursing, History and Geography for the academic year of 2014-2015. In each field a number of candidates will be taken as the following: The field of nursing takes (10) students. Concerning History, it will take (6) students. Similarly, There are (8) places for Geography. Requirements: • Applicants should hold the Bachelor’s degree. • The applicant should hold a certificate from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and scientific research; • The applicant’s average grade point for the Bachelor’s degree should not be less than 65% or the applicant should be in the first quarter of his/her graduation class ( no less than 60% for graduates from Nursing School) • The applicant should not be over 45 years of age. • There should be a relationship between the applicant’s education and the program for which he or she is applying. • English Test: A) for students from science section should hold an English language test in one the following, with no less than: IELTS (4), TOEFL iBT (4), TOEFL PBT (450), or TOEFL Computer Base (133). B) Aapplicants from Humanities: IELTS (3.5), TOEFL iBT (30), TOEFL PBT (425), or TOEFL Computer Base (133). C) Or holding an English language Certificate from the language Centers from Kurdish universities. * Two years must have passed on applicant’s graduation (for the first top students only one year are required). *The applicants should pass the specialist exam, obtaining at least 15 out of 30 in the exam.
