The UoR president, Asst. Prof. Dr. Paiman R. Ahmed, met with the university’s TeachersMod candidates on July 4th, 2023, who are due to take part in the project’s training courses in the European countries.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Hazhar Q. Ibrahim, Vice-president for the Scientific and Higher Education Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jamal A. Omer, Director General of the Research Center, as well as Mr. Araz Muhammed, Director of the UoR Relations Directorate, the meeting was held during which the UoR president congratulates all the candidates who have been selected professionally to represent the UoR delegation. Her excellency also insisted that the candidates do their best with the training programs and benefit the most, and in return, share their acquired knowledge with their colleagues.
The TeachersMod project is funded by the EU. It aims at developing the College of Basic Education’s curriculum of study. The project also lets the teachers learn about the modern ways of teaching. At the universities of Pavia in Italy, Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Portugal, and Granada in Spain, three short-termed training courses are due to start in November 2023. Twelve of the UoR lecturers, divided into three groups, have been selected fairly as the university’s candidates to participate in the courses. Translated by: Rasul H. Rasul
