Today, on July 9th, 2023, the UoR president, Asst. Prof. Dr. Paiman R. Ahmed, and several members of the UoR Council received a delegation of the Huawei Company headed by Dr. Rafid A. Al-Khifaji, vice-chairman of Huawei Company in Iraq, and included, Mr. Jamal Nuri, the director of Huawei Company Relations in Iraq, member of Huawei relations, Ms. Sheri, as well as Dr. Mardin A. Anwer, chairman of the Huwei Academy. The purpose of the visit was to sign an MoU between the two sides.

At the beginning, the UoR president gave a short speech about the university. Then an MoU was singed between the two sides according to which the Huwaic Academic Center will be launched soon at the UoR where the students in the area or abroad, can take courses for free. The UoR president shed the light on the importance of opening the center, in a way that it would help the students in the area to find job opportunities, especially in the field of technology, after taking the courses.
On the other hand, Dr. Al-Khifaji gave thanks to the UoR president and all the UoR staff for all their help and support. He also hoped that they would start opening the center and taking their courses soon in the future. Translated by Rasul H. Rasul
