On Sep 21st, 2023, the UoR president, Asst. Prof. Dr. Paiman R. Ahmed and her delegation paid a visit to Duhok University where they were received by the president of Duhok University, Pr. Dr. Dawd Atrushy. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the Academic Relations between the two institutions.
   During a meeting, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Jamal A. Omer, The UoR's General Director of Research Center, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hawraz Qadir, the UoR's Dean of College of Education, as well as the vice-presidents of the University of Duhok, Dr. Luqman H. Hassan, and Dr. Dilshad A. Kareem, the president of Duhok University welcomed any attempt to further develop their academic and administrative ties including; teacher trainings, conducting research papers, and supervising papers. The UoR president also insisted on further developing the relations between the two sides.
   Lately, there was an MoU signed between the University of Raparin and Duhok University where both sides agreed on developing joint work, strategic projects and collaboration ties.
   Currently, Duhok University is directing the 'TeachersMOD Project', where 12 lecturers of the UoR"s College of Basic Education are going to start their training in Italy, Spain and Portugal by the end of 2023.
