The Second International Nursing Conference on Nursing Education and Health Care Held at the University of Raparin

In the presence of the University of Raparin (UoR) President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Paiman R. Ahmed; the Ministry of Health Deputy Minister, Dr. Rahel Faraidun; the Head of Raparin Administration, Mr. Hiwa Qarani; the Director General of Raparin Health Directorate, Dr. Dyar I. Ramazan; members of the UoR Council; doctors, health sector workers in the area, and a number of officials; and UoR lecturers and students, the UoR's College of Nursing hosted the 2nd International Nursing Conference on 'Nursing Education and Health Care; Current Status and Future Practices' from October 23-24, 2023, in collaboration with the Mazowiecka Academy in Płock and the University of Powislanski.

At the start of the conference, UoR President Asst. Prof. Dr. Paiman R. Ahmed delivered a welcoming speech in which she emphasized the importance of such events for the UOR. She also highlighted the strong ties between the UoR Health Directorate and other health directorates and health centers in the region, which continuously support the UoR. She then expressed her appreciation to the national and international researchers from the Mazowiecka Academy in Płock and the University of Powislanski for their active participation in the conference with their papers.

Dr. Rahel Faraidun, Deputy Minister of Health, then gave a speech on behalf of the Ministry of Health, followed by a speech from Dr. Dyar I. Ramazan, Director General of Raparin Health Directorate.

The conference lasted for two days, during which 15 research papers on nursing education and health care: current status and future practices were presented by national and international researchers from the Mazowiecka Academy in Płock and the University of Powislanski. The conference was sponsored by Kurdistan Private Hospital – Ranya, Ranya Medical Center, Harem Hospital, Anwar Shekha Health City, and Asia International Hospital.

At the end of the conference, the results, findings, and recommendations were to be submitted to the Ministry of Health, Ranya Health Directorate, and other relevant organizations to further develop the current state and future practices of nursing. Before the conference ended, there were Q&A sessions and certificates were distributed to the participants.
