In the presence of several UOR lecturers and students, College of Basic Education’s Department of Arabic held a symposium entitled ‘The Literary Accomplishment of the Kurdish Writers in the Arabic Language’, on Nov 7th, 2023.
At the start of the symposium, Dr. Jihad Q. Ali delivered a speech which was followed by the speech of Department of Arabic Presidency given by Asst. Prof. Dr. ‘Ala S. Daham. During the symposium, the following seminars were presented:
1- ‘Abdulmajid Lutfy – His Literary Attempts’ by Asst. Prof. Sattar M. Faqe
2- ‘Jan Dost and his Attempts to Rewrite the History of Kurds Narratively’ by Dr. Shazad K. Othman.
3- ‘Features of the Literary Style of Badi Al-Zaman Saeed Nursi and the Epistles of Light as an Example’ by Asst. Lect. Nuri S. Abduljabar
At the end, the participants engaged in a Q&A session, and they were awarded certificates of the UOR Presidency. Translated by Rasul H. Rasul
