In the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Hazhar Q. Ibrahim, Vice-president for the Scientific and Higher Education Affairs, Department of Philosophy conducted a symposium on ‘The Role of Philosophy in Promoting Tolerance and Coexistence Against Violence’ on Nov 15th, 2023.

  The event started with the speech of Department of Philosophy given by Asst. Prof. Dr. Muslim H. Muhammed. Following that was the deanary speech of the UOR’s College of Humanities presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aras Abdulrahman.
   The event continued with a panel, chaired by Asst. Prof. Lect. Aram Q. Sabir containing the following seminars:
1-      ‘Philosophy in Kurdistan and its Role in Social Tolerance’ by Prof. Dr. Hameed A. Saeed
2-      ‘Philosophical Consult and Handling Fanaticism’ by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hasan H. Siddiq
3-      ‘The Role of Philosophy in Religious Tolerance’ by Asst. Lect. Keyfi A. Hamad

   The symposium ended in a Q&A session.
