On 17th November, 2104 University of Raparin held commencement ceremony for first year evening class students at Faculty of Basic Education.

At first, Dr. Ahmed Mahmud Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Basic Education, presented his welcoming speech. Despite focusing on such a crucial chance for students to study at evening classes, he further wished a promising future for them, hoping they would be able to be further academically and professionally qualified in the hope of making a greater contribution in the process of developing Kurdish society.
It is to be mentioned that a group of local musicians together with Mr. Hemin Hussein, a local singer, made the ceremony more fascinating for the audience through singing and playing music. Temporarily, evening studies at University of Raparin include four departments: Department of Arabic, Department of Kurdish, Department of Mathematics, and Department of General Sciences).
