University of Raparin Stands First Public University Using Kurdish Domain On 11 Dec. 2014, University of Raparin came as the first Kurdish public university being able to get Kurdish domain compared to the other Kurdish public universities. University’s previous website was www.raparinuni.org, but its temporary website is www.raparin.edu.krd.

According to regulations of Ministers Council of Kurdistan Regional Government, the Kurdish formal organizations, including universities have to change their domain into Kurdish domain (.krd); hence, the process is now going through implementation. In spite of being the first public university having got Kurdish domain in the Kurdistan Region, University of Raparin stood the second university throughout the entire region because American University-Duhok had already used Kurdish domain. On this occasion, we as presidency of Raparin University present our appreciations and thanks to Information Technology Institute of Ministers Council, for having suggested such a national strategic project, more specifically for helping University of Raparin having its own Kurdish domain in that short period of time.
