On 9th-10th Feb 2015 at cultural center of Salahadin University in Hawler, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific research with cooperation of IREX organization held a workshop on Internationalization of Kurdistan Public University Campuses.
The workshop was started with the presence of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific research, consul of America in Erbil and directors and staff of the relations of the Kurdistan public Universities.

At the beginning, Dr. Yosuf Goran, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific research gave a speech and expressed his gratitude to consulate of America and the IREX staff for their collaboration. He also mentioned the importance of Internationalization, especially for the Universities, he further stated that Internationalization provides more opportunities to the researchers and students, therefor he asked the relations offices of the Kurdistan Universities to sign more Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with regional and international Universities.
In a speech, consul of America in Kurdistan thanked the IREX staff for their efforts and expressed his gratitude that several American Universities have scientific relation with Kurdistan Universities. He also mentioned some programs funded by the Embassy of America in Iraq, and that Kurdish students can take advantage from them.
 In the workshop some important topics were discussed in detail on the methods and techniques of Internationalization by American experts and presents.
The workshop lasted for two days with the presence of relations staff of Kurdistan public Universities, including them University of Raparin, At the end of the workshop, letter of achievement was given to the attendees.
