2014 Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Student Leaders Program - NOW OPEN

The deadline for applications is midnight on Saturday, January 25, 2014

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for the 2014 MEPI Student Leaders Program.  The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and supports the goals of the U.S. – Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement.  It is a six-week academic summer program in the United States and will take place from June 25 – August 7, 2014

A delegation from IREX association visits University of Raparin

A delegation from IREX headed by Lori Mason the manager of the organization’s projects in Iraq which is mainly specified for rural universities including, University of Raparin, Halabja and Zaxo were selected by the organization to work on a project called “development of teacher’s capacity, methods of teaching and ways of doing research” as well as promoting university curriculum in addition to management methods.
During the organization’s meeting with the University of Raparin’s president and a specialized staff they talked about their future plan related to working on the project for the academic year 2014.This organization aims to develop  curriculum, human capacity and making relationships between American and Kurdish universities.
