At a press conference held on 11th of Feb, 2023, at the University of Raparin's presidency campus, in the presence of media agencies, all the aids collected in a campaign running from Feb 7th to 11th, by UoR and Kurdsat Broadcasting Foundation, for the victims of Western and Northern Kurdistan's, i.e, Syria and Turkey's devastating earthquake were declared.

Based on the plans of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the universities of Koya, Soran, Garmian, Zakho, Halabja, Raparin, and Charmo signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) as part of their collaborative agenda. 'This MOU will help enhance cooperative work and academic growth', the Minister of Higher Education says.

Acorondig to the first released edition of Webometrics 2023 ranking of universities, University of Raparin is raising fast compared to the previous years and has recorded a high rank among Kurdistan and Iraq universities as well as the universities of the world.
